This workshop will provide a broad overview of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as it applies to K-12 public education. Topics will include referral, eligibility, services and protections afforded to individuals under 504. As well, we will identify and discuss similarities and differences in IEPs and 504 serive plans, and will review relevant case law that shapes what we do for 504-eligible students. Participants should bring a charged laptop or device for online interactive participation.
